Research Assistant position (35%) available for a highly motivated individual in the Unternaehrer laboratory in the Division of Biochemistry, Department of Basic Sciences, Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Our small lab is highly collaborative, and projects are at an exciting stage of development. The project involves studies of cell fate decisions in development and cancer, including translational ovarian cancer studies. A wide variety of techniques will be used, from microscopy to FACS to Western blot to mouse work. Background in cell culture, animal husbandry, flow cytometry, molecular biology, virus work, and cell biology preferred. Attention to detail, excellent record keeping, enthusiasm to learn, organization, and good communication skills are required. Technician will be trained by PI, postdoc, and graduate student, and should be willing to commit 2-3 years to this project. Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in life science required.
